I suck at talking about myself. Ask me something if you want to know it! I'll probably answer!

In the meantime, here are some things:

-I live in Canada
-My full name is extremely long and (to some) inexplicably unpronounceable
-I will eat almost anything with sugar in it
-I draw a webcomic called Chirault
-I spend way more time drawing than is really healthy
-I used to post most of my art to my scraps, although I have successfully changed (there's still a lot of stuff in there though)
-I love comic books and also anything steampunk!

SCHULE and stuff

>>> COMMISSIONS | CHIRAULT | SEVENSMITH | SCRAPS | ALT ACCOUNT | LIVEJOURNAL | FORMSPRING <<<

SO HEY!! I have been a little quiet on DA lately, mostly because I was focusing almost all of my art-making energies on building up a huge buffer of Chirault pages. Currently I am about 20 pages ahead of the site, and still counting-- at the once-a-week schedule, I am technically buffered until May. :B If I can hit July, I might switch over to a twice-a-week schedule...

But anyway! School's been going well, I am learning how to make things in 3d finally and it's pretty fun. We haven't learned how to export things for render yet, but once we do (and once I've made anything more interesting than a bouncing ball and a set of headphones) maybe I will start putting some of that up here. The only complaint I have right now is the commute, though maybe it will get more bearable once spring happens and I stop having to spend so much time bicycling very slowly and nervously through driving snow and sleet...

One terrible thing has come up though: I bought a box of this tea the day before I left Halifax for the last time, because it is the most amazing tea. But it is about to run out and I want more! It will cost me a little more than I can really justify to myself for tea (mostly on account of shipping)..... so maybe if anyone would like a commission, I could do a couple?

I can do paintchat commissions like these on the fly for I guess $10:

Also, on a final note... check out this thing *PhantomTeacup made for me 8D (based on the meme 'replace all of the vowels in your characters' names with O's')

No problem! They're really gorgeous, and make me want to try my hand at binding again myself. (:

Well I recommend you do try some time. You don't need that much stuff for a basic book! :D

I know... mostly what's holding me up is that my first time making books, I had access to a big guillotine that could cut like 1000 sheets of paper cleanly at once to make a tidy little block of pages, or trim an entire book to the same side... but then I moved and I don't have access to that anymore. :C I like the look of books that are neatly trimmed though!

Do you have any suggestions for cutting many sheets of paper for a book cleanly without the aid of a special cutter? Right now all I have is an x-acto knife and a ruler...
